Who we are

BECS Heat Pumps is a trading name of Burbage Engineering & Constructions Services Ltd (Company Reg. 13116458, VAT Reg. 373980166). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

What personal data we collect

We collect personal data when you interact with this website or become a customer:

• Quote request form: name, email address, phone number, postcode, current heating fuel type, and any message you provide.
• Service booking form: name, email address, phone number, address, preferred service date(s), and any notes you provide.
• Customer records: if you become a customer, we keep your name, email address, phone number and installation date so we can contact you about your annual service and, where relevant, ask for feedback or a review.

How we use your data

We use the information you provide to:

• Respond to quote requests and enquiries
• Arrange and manage service bookings
• Send you a reminder ahead of your annual heat pump service
• Ask for feedback or a review after an installation, where you have not opted out
• Meet our legal, accounting and contractual obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use it for any purpose other than those listed above.

How we store and send your data

Form submissions are emailed directly to us and are not stored in a separate database on this website. Customer records used for service reminders are stored securely on our server and are not accessible to the public.

We use Google's email infrastructure (Gmail/Google Workspace) to send and receive emails, including automated reminders. Google may process this data as our email service provider, in accordance with their own privacy policy.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry and booking emails are retained in our business email account for as long as reasonably necessary to handle your enquiry and for our business records. Customer records (name, email, phone, install date) are retained for as long as you remain a customer of ours, or until you ask us to delete them.

Cookies & advertising

This website asks for your consent before setting any advertising or analytics cookies. If you accept, we use:

• Google Ads — to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and understand how visitors reach this site.
• Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Meta's platforms.

Neither of these load unless you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you click "Reject," no advertising or tracking cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site and reloading the page.

Google and Meta are separate data controllers for the information collected via these tools once consented to, and each has its own privacy policy governing how they use it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Ask us to delete your data
• Object to or restrict how we use your data
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format
